Japanese
karate-do, the "Way of the Empty Hand," is a fast and vigorous martial
art ideal for physically oriented adults and children.
At Great Falls Budokan our style rejects the sporting and competitive trend of today's karate. Instead, we emphasize self-defense and self-improvement. Movement in Great Falls Budokan karate incorporates both linear and circular motions. This unique blend allows the students to either use their own strength against or redirect the force of an attack. Included in the syllabus are the study of traditional karate weapons including Bo, Kama, Nunchaku, Sai, and Tonfa. Additionally, we incorporate defenses against weapons you may encounter in modern times. There is no set age for karate training. Prospective students will be considered on an individual basis. |
